To many runners, because these can be conquered in under a minute, they are not really hills. But I hate hills and I avoid anything that resembles one.
However, this streak has given me new motivation and new perspective. I am motivated to try different things in running- it doesn't matter in what anymore- hills, speed work, distance, anything to change up my daily running. It also has given me perspective, some runs are great, some are horrible, some are nice and flat, and some are uphill. It doesn't matter anymore as long as I run.
While I'm "over the hill" I know there will be more hills to run, more fast days, more bad runs, more good runs. I guess the reall hill is whether I'll tie on my shoes and get out there to meet each run head on. And for the next 16 days, I will.
