Day 6: A day of firsts

I normally don't run before work. It takes too long to cool down and honestly, I just don't want to get up early. But today was a one mile recovery run so 10 minutes before the alarm I thought, "What the heck?" And I started tying on my shoes for my first run before work.

My husband asked me when I decided to run in the morning because I ususally tell him my running schedule ahead of time. I answered that I decided to run about 5 seconds ago and he started laughing.

I also was trying to be quick, knowing I'd me done in 10 minutes or so, so I ran in my pajamas, which was also a first.

Now I'm still not convinced that running before work is beneficial. On one hand, the run is done for the day, but on the other hand, my morning schedule feels all messed up now, even though I got back from the run right after my alarm would have gone off.

I am convinced, however, that running in pajamas is not a smart move. These particular pajamas are called my holey pajamas by my family because they are so torn up and hole-filled. That means as I was running they were slipping and falling off so I ran holding them up the whole time, which was not fun.

So for a day of firsts, running before work  is nice because the run is done. Running in torn up pajamas is not recommend.
