Day 9: Good Girl

It was cold this morning and I felt like I was just running...oh wait I was, just twelve hours ago. It's hard when two runs kind of converge on one another. Luckily it was six in the morning so my brain wasn't all the way awake yet.

I took the dog with me on this morning run. It's only her fourth run on the running leash, but she is getting so much better at keeping pace with me, not pulling or dragging me.

As we were running, I was encouraging her, "Good job, girl" "Good doggie" "Keep going girl." It made me think of all the people that have encourage me since I started running. So I listed you all as I ran and thanked each of you with every step.  I was looking at the people who specifically encourage me during my runs, ran with me, talked with me about it, listened to my endless chatter about running, served as my running role-models, picked me up when I was feeling down, etc.

While the list was long, and that made me feel so loved and supported, I want to thank a few people here: my husband for always going along with my crazy ideas, my mom for making signs and my aunt and uncle for running 10 miles,  my work running partner and my summer Bass Lake running partner, my kids for cheering me on, my Facebook friends whose comments are great encouragements, and my work friends who get lots of boring running stories as we are standing in the hallway.

I know there are more and if I forgot you it was unintentional, but did I mention it was six in he morning and my brain is not fully awake yet? But to those I've mentioned and any I forgot (sorry), thanks for all the "Good job, girl"s you've given me.
